Jersey City Housing Authority was established in 1938 to provide decent, safe, and affordable housing for low-income families, seniors, and persons with disabilities. As New Jersey’s second largest public housing authority, JCHA serves more than 15,000 residents and administers approximately 7,100 housing units across every ward of Jersey City, including public housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs, with a mission focused on building communities, creating opportunities, and transforming lives.
